THE WHEELS, sculptures, 2000
Exhibition 4x4 in the Giesso Reich Space
The games are present in almost all daily activities, from television programs, raffles to increase the consumption of products, advertisements, to the games of chance that are promoted from the government (Lottery, Casinos,Machines , etc. I wanted to link these playful activities with the wheel, which many times symbolizes them. (The Wheel of Fortune).
Formally I use the Circle that refers to perfection, to our universe, and reminds us that in our lives we have partial and fragmented readings.I use every day elements ( wheels, seeds, photographs,) to assemble this series of sculptures - objects that play with space and at the same time they can move , so that the viewer may participate .. This montage is accompanied by background music produced by the sounds of the games.
