María Josefa Petrona de Todos Los Santos Sanchez de Velazco y Trillo (1786-1868)
Mariquita was one of the first women who challenged the rigid conventions of her time regarding the female social role. Through a dissenting trial and by the letter sent to the Viceroy Sobremonte "I must defend my rights …” she managed to marry the man she loved .Mariquita extended the benefits of vocational education and training to young women and children.

His house in Buenos Aires and his Villa in San Isidro “los Ombúes” were a center of culture, exchange and political debate that the main managers of our Revolution visited and were the National Anthem was played .. The house was not only a material support for the sociability but a manifestation of civil and cultural modernity.
